A new Stampede season brings a lot of information—rehearsals, performances, call times, meals, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, competitions, events, and more.
As we begin the 2026–2027 season, there are a few changes to how communication will be shared. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for parents and students to know where to look for information and who the information is coming from.
The two most important platforms to remember are:
🎺 SportsYou = Communication from the Band Directors
📱 BAND = Communication from the Band Boosters
Other platforms will continue to support specific needs such as volunteer signups, senior communication, public information, and family interaction.
Stay Informed. Stay Connected. Stay Stampede. ❤️🖤

Save the Communication Guide to your phone for an easy reference throughout the season.
SportsYou | Communication from the Band Directors

SportsYou is used for official communication from the Band Directors.
Information may include:
Itineraries, schedules, and call times
Rehearsal and performance information
Director updates and changes
Group-specific information
SportsYou contains different channels so information can be shared with the people who need it. These include Parents, students, and specific group channels such as Leadership, Drum Majors, Percussion, Color Guard, and others.
Join SportsYou
New to SportsYou? Create an account or sign in using the link below:
Once you are signed in, use the appropriate SportsYou access code(s) below to join the channels that apply to you.
Stampede Parents | Guardians Only — Access Code: C86S-RTDW
Stampede (Full Band) — Access Code: U5KR-PWKS
SportsYou Access: Parents/guardians should join the Stampede Parents Only group. Students who have not yet joined SportsYou should use the All Stampede Students code. Please only join the group that applies to you. Any additional group-specific SportsYou codes will be provided directly to students by the Band Directors as needed.
Important for Students & Parents
Not every SportsYou post will necessarily be sent to every channel.
Some information may be sent only to students through their specific SportsYou channels and may not be sent to parents. Students may also receive information or changes verbally from Directors during class or rehearsal that may not be posted.
Parents ensure students are in their SportsYou channels, they check posts regularly, and pay attention to information communicated directly by the Directors.
BAND | Communication from the Band Boosters

The BAND app is the primary communication platform used by the Lake Belton Band Boosters for parents and students.
BAND may be used for:
Booster announcements, reminders, and deadlines
Meal information and changes
Fundraisers and Booster events
Volunteer and chaperone needs
Other Booster-specific information
For example, if there is a change involving a meal being coordinated by the Boosters, BAND is where parents and students should look for that update.
BAND Chats
BAND also allows us to communicate with specific groups without sending every message to the entire membership.
Public and invite-only chats may be used for seniors, volunteers, chaperones, committees, specific events, and other groups as needed.
These chats provide a place for questions, discussion, and coordination within those specific groups.
Joining BAND: Download the BAND app or sign up through the web using the link provided. Once you’ve created your account or logged in, click the invitation link again, and it will take you directly to our private Stampede BAND group to request to join.
SignUpGenius | Volunteer & Chaperone Signups

For now, SignUpGenius will continue to be used for volunteer and event signups. You do not need to download the SignUpGenius app to participate—use the signup link provided for each event.
This includes:
Volunteer signups
Chaperone signups
We will continue evaluating BAND’s signup capabilities throughout the year. If BAND provides the functionality we need, some or all signup activities may eventually transition there.
For now, continue using the SignUpGenius links provided by the Boosters for volunteering or chaperoning.
GroupMe | Phasing Out

GroupMe is gradually being phased out as group communication transitions to BAND.
During the transition:
Existing groups may continue to be used
Communication will gradually move to BAND
Families should keep GroupMe until notified
Please don't delete GroupMe yet.
Existing groups may still be used during the transition. We will communicate an official end date when GroupMe is no longer needed.
Remind | Senior Parents & Students ONLY

The existing Senior Parent and Senior Student Only Remind groups are still available.
We are currently determining whether senior-specific communication for the 2026–2027 school year should remain on Remind or transition to a private BAND chat/group.
Until a final decision is communicated, senior parents and students should continue using the current Remind groups. If you are a current senior parent or senior student and are not in the appropriate group, please reach out so we can help get you connected.
Website | Your Stampede Resource Hub
While SportsYou and BAND handle ongoing communication, lakebeltonhsband.com serves as a central location for information and resources that families and the community may need throughout the year.
Visit the website for:
Calendar and events
Forms and resources
Bylaws and policies
Booster information
Volunteer information
Fundraisers and online store
Sponsor information
Contact information
Public and community information
The website is a great place to return when you're looking for a specific form, policy, contact, or resource instead of searching through previous app posts.
Social Media | Follow & Celebrate the Stampede
Our public Lake Belton Band Boosters Facebook and Instagram pages are where we share the Stampede with our families, friends,
and community.
Follow along for:
Fundraisers and event promotions
Photos and videos
Competition and performance results
Stampede highlights
Public announcements and community news
Social media is a great place to follow, share, and celebrate the Stampede, but it is not intended to replace SportsYou or BAND for important communication.
Stampede Spirit | Private Family Group
Stampede Spirit is our private Facebook group for current Stampede families.
It provides another place for our families to connect and may include:
Photos and videos
Family interaction and discussion
Questions
Booster and community information
Stampede Spirit supports our family community, but BAND remains the primary platform for official Booster communication.
Please note: Stampede Spirit is a private group for families of current Stampede students only. You must answer all membership questions when requesting to join. Requests without completed questions will not be approved.
Which Platform Should I Check?
Not sure where to look? Here’s the easiest way to remember:
🎺 SportsYou → Band Director Communication: Schedules, call times, performance information, and Director/student/group updates.
📱 BAND → Band Booster Communication: Meals, fundraisers, Booster events, volunteer needs, deadlines, and group coordination.
🙋 SignUpGenius → Volunteer & Chaperone Signups
#️⃣ GroupMe → Phasing Out
🎓 Remind → Senior Communication
🌐 Website → Information & Resources
📸 Facebook + Instagram → Public News & Highlights
❤️ Stampede Spirit → Private Family Community
When in doubt, remember that SportsYou and BAND are the two primary communication platforms families should be checking regularly.
